1.He started to believe that there was no God and no hope either.
2.He ate it all real quick he didn’t care no more if mom laugh at him or what everybody else think.
3.God only answer his prayers once during all those years.
4.He prayed to God that mom would get sick so she wont beat him up.
5.He calls himself a robot because is like he cant feel anything no more and lives the life like a robot.
6.David begins to change by being rebellious and disobeying his mother in public.
7.He feels like life isn't worthy it no more. He hates everyone around him.
8.He hates mom and wants her to die. He hates dad because he does nothing to help him. He hates his brothers because they beat him up too and don’t care about him.
9.He don’t care no more about him , he wants to die and get this over.
10.Aggie is a girl at his school that teases him in school and calls him names. She treats him bad and shows off her fancy clothes.
11.Aggie told him to jump when they went on a field trip.
12.Mr. Ziegler made an effort to treat him like a normal child because the nurse told him why David stole food and dress the way he did.
13.His mom tells him that there is nothing he could do to impress her and that he is nobody.
14.He began to irritate his mom by being careless and doing his chores in a careless manner.
15.Mother pack his fathers stuff because they were separating.
16.His brothers contribute by beating David up too.
17.His little brother named Kevin kept him sane because he was a baby and knew that Kevin didn’t hate him yet.
18.I would just think and worry only about me.
19.His father just disappears and David hates him.

•Disposal: (noun) a disposing or getting rid of something. Its important that we disposed trash the right way.




•Pathetic: (adj.) causing or evoking pity, sympathetic sadness, sorrow. The lady show a pathetic attitude towards us when we asked her for help.




•Lenient: (adj.) not strict, easy. The lenient teacher lets us do whatever we wanted.







•Morbid: gruesome; grisly. The monsters on the movie were gruesome creatures.









•Deteriorated: (verb) to disintegrate or wear away. The old, dirty clothes on my body were deteriorating as time pass.









•Instinctively: ( adj.) of, relating to, or prompted by instinct. I instinctively knew she was mad by the expression on her face.









•Dignity: ( noun) sign or token of respect. The way she
respected herself, it shows how much dignity the woman has.

chapter 6 questions

1.David's father would often ask him “ how are you tiger” and nice stuff.
2.During one period his mother did not feed David for 10 days.
3.She would say “ oh poor baby” and just laugh at him.
4.More than anything David wanted to be treated with a little bit of dignity and respect, like a normal person.
5.Father is the protector because when he's home, mom doesn’t do as much stuff as when he's gone.
6.David goes 10 days without food.
7.Some of mothers favorite games were the gas chamber, the cold baths, and making him skate in the snow for hours.
8.The bucket had Clorox and ammonia inside of it.
9.His mom got the idea from the newspaper and she wanted to try it.
10.David cough blood for over an hour.
11.She whooped him with the dog chains and the brooms stick.
12.She makes him mow lawns and bring her money back.
13.They don’t help because they don’t want to.
14.The first one to treat David with respect was a substitute teacher at his school.
15.It was a tradition at mothers house for the boys to carve designs on pumpkins.
16.His mother let him sleep in his fathers bed.
17.Mother came into the bedroom where David was in the P.O.W position and mom said she was tire of the way they was living. She apologize to him and said she was going to change.
18.David got skates for Christmas so he can skate in the snow for hours.
19.When his mom let him play with his brothers and say sorry to him and treated him like part of the family.
20.Shirley was a neighbor that became a friend of David's mom for a time.
21.She acted like a loving caring mom.
22.She told David that she was going to try to be a good mom and that she was going to change. She hug him and even cried with him too.
23.Yes, his mom return back to her normal, mean self.
24.David believe her because he really wanted some kind of love.
25.Her reasons for her kindness were because she knew a social worker was going to come and talk to them.
