1.On March 5, 1973 was the day David got his prayers answered.
2.That day it all happened with lightning speed. He said bye to all his teachers and cried with all his heart.
3.The truth about David is that he was a good kid and that it was not his fault.
4.He did not get a chance to say bye to Mrs. Woodworth. He felt sad because she help him escape his loneliness through books.
5.The officer drove David to the county hospital.
6.The doctor recommended for David to get plenty of food.
7.Mom program into David’s head that he was a bad boy.
8.He realize he was safe when the police officer said that David’s mom would never hurt him again.
9.His new home is a foster home. The house look like a giant cabin with lots of open windows.
10.He had never heard the words foster home but knew that he would love the home.
11.When Aunt Mary grab his armed he covered his face and his knees began to shake.
12.David dreams about his mom and that she is after him trying to get him back. I think it might take time for David to get over those dreams.
13.Ms. Gold was David’s social worker. She was nice, understanding, and supportive. She would hug David when he cried and hold his hand.
14.David wouldn’t tell Ms. Gold the truth because he knew he was going back with his mom no matter what.
15.Mom is the same when Aunt Mary is on the phone.
16.David realizes the terrible position he has put her on.
17.I think the cycle of hatred moved onto another brother because since David is not home, mother doesn’t have anyone to released her anger on.
18.David retracts all his statements because he knows his mom is going to get him back and he doesn’t want to get her more mad and upset.
